Tazzeka - Cinéma Arabe

In a village at the foot of the Rif Mountains, Elias lives with his grandmother. He is a passionate chef, inspired by his grandmother’s cooking and celebrity chef Joël Robuchon’s haute cuisine, whose recipes he knows by heart. His talent is appreciated in the local restaurant’s kitchen, but he is unfulfilled creatively. Two separate encounters encourage him to seek refuge in France.

Tazzeka brings to life a popular fantasy, but it also crashes that dream into reality. In the metropole of Paris Elias’ confidence dwindles - he is even afraid to call home. A new friendship slowly leads him back to his passion and his roots.
