14-year-old Elias lives with his parents in a small town in rural Flanders. He has lots of friends and even a girlfriend - a very normal existence, in other words. Until new people from Brussels move into the house opposite, including the equally old Alexander. Elias is immediately attracted to him, and fortunately the feeling turns out to be mutual. Very warm ties soon develop between the two. Elias discovers that for the first time he is really in love with someone - with Alexander. But how will his parents and friends react to this?

Anyone who has forgotten what a first love feels like and what it is like to have butterflies in your stomach should definitely see this feature debut by Flemish director Anthony Schatteman. In this disarming and heartwarming story, falling in love is pure and magical. He co-wrote the screenplay with Lukas Dhont, who told a similar story with Close in 2022. Lead actors Lou Goossens and Marius De Saeger steal the show.
