What's happening during the Christmas holiday at Rialto? The cinema provides entertainment for the whole family every year, and this vacation, cats play the lead role! Read about the range of films and activities for children during Christmas here.
A Christmas holiday with cats at Rialto
This Christmas holiday, Rialto is showing two family films, especially for cat lovers! Starting December 21st, Flow and Dikkie Dik 2 will be shown at the cinema. Additionally, there will be a fun arts and crafts afternoon for kids on December 23rd, exact time to be announced soon.
The kids movie Flow, directed by Gints Zilbalodis, was just awarded “Best European Animated Feature” by the European Film Awards. This comes as no surprise, as the beautifully animated world evokes the spirit of Miyazaki, the legendary Japanese animator and founder of Studio Ghibli. Flow touches your heart without a single line of dialogue, making it a captivating film for young and old alike.
For a cozy cinema adventure in the snow, Dikkie Dik 2: A New Friend is the perfect choice. Dikkie Dik and his good friend Poes Muis discover snow for the first time, along with all the fun and silliness that comes with it. Dutch icon André van Duin narrates the story of the beloved red cat, written by Burny Bos. Disclaimer: to fully enjoy Dikkie Dik 2, you need to understand Dutch.
Can’t wait until the holidays to see these fun children’s films? Dikkie Dik 2 will have a special pre-premiere screening at Rialto on Wednesday, December 11th. You can find our current program of kids movies through the button below.
