Cineville Speciaaltje: War Pony
It's not called Cineville Speciaaltje for nothing, of course, as we are organising a whole series of specials especially for all Cineville film lovers - how much more special can it get!
On 19 April it's that time again: you and your film buddy are hereby warmly welcomed to Rialto VU for a special pre-premiere of War Pony, about 23-year-old Bill and 12-year-old Matho, two Oglala Lakota boys living on the Pine Ridge Reservation. They don't know each other but their lives nevertheless share many similarities
At this Special, we'll serve a special welcome drink, you'll have a chance to win great prizes via Cineville's quiz and be inspired with a substantive introduction to the film! Of course, as a Cineviller, you get to bring another +1 - on a trip to South Dakota.
War Pony
In the Pine Ridge Reservation in the state of South Dakota live Bill and Matho, two Oglala Lakota boys. A father of two to two different women, 23-year-old Bill lives from day to day, not worrying about anything. Yet he is the type who sees opportunities to make money everywhere, for instance by breeding poodles. Matho is 12, but cannot wait to grow up. When Matho finds his drug-dealing father's meth supply one day, he and his friends decide to deal it themselves. But of course that does not go well. The two don't know each other, yet they have a lot in common.
