El castigo
Ana, Mateo and their seven-year-old son Lucas are on their way to visit Ana's parents. Lucas, a very busy child, misbehaves and to disciplin him he is thrown out of the car, in the middle of a forest. Ana is a strict mother and just drives off, even though Mateo begs her to turn around. She does, two minutes later. Back at the spot where they left Lucas, they find only his cap, Lucas himself is without a trace - every parent's nightmare. Blames soon fly back and forth, interspersed with emotions of fear and despair. The foundations on which the marriage is built turn out to be very shaky.
A marital drama and a missing child - director MatĂas Bize seamlessly links these two motifs in his new film, and he does so in real time; the events in the story unfold in the film's running time. It is Antonia Zegers, in particular, who steals the show with her portrayal of Ana.
