Two years after the stunning success of his debut feature Get Out, director Jordan Peele came out with his second film, another blood-curdling suspense horror film. For the screenplay he wrote himself, he had taken inspiration from the story of Mirror Image, a 1960 episode of the then-popular TV series Twillight Zone. Lead actress Lupita Nyong'o, in particular, won numerous awards.
Adelaide Wilson (Nyong'o) has a good marriage to Gabe and, together with their children Zora and Jason, they leave for their beach house in Santa Cruz, the same beach where she once had a nasty and frightening experience in a hall of mirrors as a child. What happened then becomes clear when four uninvited guests show up at night, four doppelgangers dressed in red jumpsuits who want to take the place of the real Wilson family. Friends they were supposed to meet in Santa Cruz go through the same thing and pay for it with their lives. What is happening, how widespread is this and will the Wilsons survive?
This blood-curdling film by Jordan Peele will be screened this along with two other of his films. Want to see all three at a discount? Get your triple bill here!
