The third film from successful director and screenwriter Jordan Peele was eagerly awaited. Three years after Us, Peele came out with Nope, another horror film, but this time mixed with neo-western and science fiction. Major inspirations were films like The Wizard of Oz (1939), Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977) and Jurassic Park (1993).
In Agua Dulce, a small remote town in California, the Haywood family runs a horse ranch. One day, high-speed metal objects fall on the ranch, killing father Otis. His son OJ and daughter Emerald must now fend for themselves. One evening, six months later, the lights begin to flicker and the horses panic. The two see a UFO targeting the horses, spitting out all the indigestible material with great speed. This UFO is responsible for their father's death, and things get much worse.
This blood-curdling film by Jordan Peele will be screened this along with two other of his films. Want to see all three at a discount? Get your triple bill here!
