All of Us Strangers

The fire alarm goes off and so writer Adam leaves his flat in a London tower block. He is the only one standing outside, apparently being the only resident. Except for Harry, who is watching him from the sixth floor. That very night they get to know each other; later a relationship blossoms between the two. Adam is very preoccupied with the past and decides to travel to his former childhood home. Once there, time seems to have stood still, his parents are at home, even though they died in an accident 30 years earlier. Much needs to be said.

"A gorgeous, deeply moving film about loss and loneliness with a quartet of performances that blend together in a breathtaking way," wrote an American reviewer about this sixth feature from British director Andrew Haigh. Whether everything really happens or only exists in Adam's head is irrelevant, only the emotions are true.
