Rialto for Short
Rialto offers new, undiscovered talent a chance to present themselves to audiences and professionals, and show their films on the big screen. And we are doing so again this season with the programme Rialto for Short.
This Tuesday evening, at 19.30, the first edition of the sixth season is on the programme; the selected entrants present their work to the public as well as to the jury. And after each film, as always, there will be a Q&A with the maker. Host of the evening: Wayne de Boer.
1. 返屋企 Go Back Home – dir. Chung Dha Lam (10', 2023)
2. Ik heb er niet om gevraagd – dir. Geertje van Vliet (13’, 2023)
3. Sacred Selfhood - dir. Evelyn Imafidon (8’, 2023)
4. Over morgen – dir. Finn van den Ijssel (7’, 2023)
The jury members are Safirah Dijkstra (dramaturge at VPRO-HUMAN, among others), Aiman Hassani (filmmaker and collaborator Wedowe), Stefan Malešević (filmmaker and editor at De Balie). They watch the films and together with the audience and a special guest decide which film is the best of the evening. That winner competes for the € 2000 prize for the very best film of the entire sixth season.
