Robot Dreams

New York, 1980s: Dog lives by himself in Manhattan, but is actually tired of always being alone. He orders a robot, puts the thing together and soon Dog and Robot are best friends, heading out together to explore New York. They also pay a visit to the beach and that's where things go wrong. They fall asleep and when they wake up hours later, Robot's battery turns out to be dead. Dog leaves him lying there with the intention of giving him a new battery the next day. But that next day, the beach turns out to be closed. Now what?

This hugely enjoyable and now critically acclaimed animated film is all about friendship and that you never let each other down. Spanish director Pablo Berger, best known for his Snow White adaptation Blancanieves, presents the story with humour and nostalgic pop music. And without dialogues!
