Love Lies Bleeding
Somewhere in a godforsaken corner of New Mexico, Lou runs a gym. She rarely sees her father Lou Sr, a criminal who uses a shooting range as a cover for arms smuggling, her sister Beth is trapped in an abusive marriage, while her mother has disappeared off the face of the earth. One day, everything changes with the arrival of Jackie, a bodybuilder who is on her way to an important competition in Las Vegas - she wants to train briefly in Lou's gym . Lou is very excited about her arrival and the feeling is mutual; the two begin a stormy love affair fuelled by the requisite anabolics. The fledgling love takes a strange and very violent turn when Lou's sister ends up in hospital after an assault.
