Here

Romanian construction worker Stefan lives and works in Brussels. The summer holidays are approaching, and he wants to spend them in his native country. But before he goes, he wants to empty his fridge. With everything he has left, he makes a delicious soup, which he plans to give to his family and friends. During his walks to all of them, he meets ShuXiu, a young Chinese-Belgian botanist who specialises in mosses. He had never given a second thought to these tiny plants before, but she teaches him to look more closely: "this piece of moss in your hand is actually a whole forest in miniature". Stefan is fascinated by her and her eye for the virtually invisible.

After Hellhole and Ghost Tropic, this is Bas Devos' third feature film in which the city of Brussels plays a leading role. This time, he zooms in on the city's nature, something that is not seen by most. The result is a beautifully portrayed poetic urban symphony, paying tribute to the small and invisible. Award-winning at the Berlinale.
