Paul McCartney and Wings – One Hand Clapping

In 1970, The Beatles broke up, the end of an era. Bassist Paul McCartney then immediately embarked on a solo career, which led to two albums. In 1971, he formed a new band: Wings, a highly successful band that scored major hits with songs like My Love, Band on the Run and the James Bond title song Live and Let Die. The band had many personnel changes, but regular Linda Eastman, to whom McCartney was married, never left the band.

In August 1974, British director David Litchfield filmed the band for four days while they were at work at Abbey Road Studios. Not only does he show how the band members play together, he also shows how they interact with each other, to provide a unique insight into the band's inner dynamics. In addition to all this, this rarely seen film includes the complete recordings of a solo acoustic performance by McCartney: The Backyard Sessions. McCartney himself introduces the film.
