‘If you dance with the devil, he'll follow you home one day’... In the 1930s, twin brothers Smoke and Stack discover that this really does happen. Their lives are problematic, to say the least, and to escape that, they decide to return to their hometown, somewhere in the southern US. There, it turns out an even greater evil awaits them in the form of all sorts of supernatural, evil apparitions.

Director and screenwriter Ryan Coogler, who previously made Black Panther and Creed, comes up with a new take on fear in this haunting horror film... intense fear. Coogler's favourite actor Michael B. Jordan plays, how could it be otherwise, both the roles of Smoke and Stack.
