Christo: Walking on Water
In 2013, ten years after the death of his wife and partner Jeanne-Claude, internationally renowned artist Christo decided to realize the artwork that he and Jeanne-Claude had had in mind since 1970: The Floating Piers. Christo gives the filmmaker complete access to the process, from the first beginnings to the completion of his most recent large-scale art installation in Lake Iseo, Italy, near Brescia.
While creating the gigantic masterpiece, Christo and his team are really put to the test, facing logistical nightmares, complex clashes between art and politics, and the pure, impartial power of nature, all filmed with breath-taking aerial shots and fly-on-the-wall cameras.
