Enzo

16-year-old Enzo (Eloy Pohu) wants to become a bricklayer, which is definitely not what his well-off parents had hoped for. Nevertheless, he goes to work on a construction site, where it soon becomes clear that he has little talent for bricklaying. Fortunately, there he befriends Ukrainian construction worker Vlad (Maksym Slivinskyi), who is kind enough to correct Enzo's many masonry mistakes. Enzo feels more than friendship for Vlad, but the latter is more interested in women in that area. On top of that, he will soon return to Ukraine to help defend his homeland against the Russians. Meanwhile, Enzo increasingly feels the pressure his parents put on him.

Director Robin Campillo (120 BPM) co-wrote this beautiful coming-of-age drama with Laurent Cantent, the director of Entre les murs, among others. It was Cantent's last project; he died in April 2024 at the age of 63. The film was produced by Jacques Audiard and the Dardenne brothers, among others.
