Alice has to appear in court, and there is a lot at stake; she wants the judge to grant her full custody of her children Lila and Etienne, who would prefer never to see their father again. Both Alice and the father are given the opportunity to tell their side of the story, and one thing immediately becomes very clear: the father has a completely different version of events, which casts doubt on everything Alice says. But she has to win the case, because she wants to protect her children from their father at all costs.
In this intense and oppressive courtroom drama, the directorial debut of Charlotte Deville and Arnaud Dufeys, difficult themes such as domestic violence and child abuse, truth and guilt are addressed. They do so with razor-sharp dialogue delivered with great conviction by actors Myriem Akheddiou (Alice) and Laurent Capelluto (the father). Deville and Dufeys wrote the screenplay themselves.
