Ninjababy

23-year-old Rakel enjoys her carefree life and lives with a friend. She draws comic books, likes to party, drink and do drugs, and regularly has one-night stands. At her roommate's insistence, Rakel takes a pregnancy test and discovers that she is already six months pregnant by a fling, while she has just started dating her judo teacher. Becoming a mother was not on Rakel's bucket list and since abortion is no longer an option, she has to choose between her old familiar life and the Ninjababy, as she has baptized the newcomer, which starts to torment her more and more when he comes to life in her imagination.

Ninjababy is a funny and unpolished Norwegian drama by director Yngvild Sve Flikke. The film is based on the graphic novel Fallteknik (Falling Technique) by Inga H. Saetre, who created animations for the film that turn the ninjababy into a comic supporting character. Awarded at the Berlinale 2021.
