And the Golden Globes nominees are...

An overview of the most important nominees.

On January 9, 2022 it's time for the annual Golden Globes ceremony again. The nominees for the 79th edition were announed on Monday, and as per usual, there is no shortage of Rialto titles.

Jane Campion's Western The Power of the Dog is nominated for best drama, and Steven Spielberg's West Side Story is nominated for best comedy/musical. Campion and Spielberg are also nominated for best director, and are going up against Maggie Gyllenhaal (The Lost Daughter), among others.

Additionally, Rialto is well represented within the actor/actress categories.  Voor beste acteur en beste actrice in een drama zijn Benedict Cumberbatch (The Power of the Dog), Olivia Colman (The Lost Daughter) and Kristen Stewart (Spencer) are all nominated for best actor/actress in a drama, and both Rachel Zegler (West Side Story) and Marion Cotillard (Annette) are up against each other for the title of best actress in a comedy/musical.

Kodi Smit-McPhee (The Power of the Dog), Ariana DeBose (West Side Story) and Kirsten Dunst (The Power of the Dog) are respectivally nominated for best supporting actor and best supporting actress.

The Power of the Dog, West Side Story, Spencer and Annette are currently screening at Rialto. On Thursday, The Lost Daughter will be added to that list on Thursday.
