Our youth organization LA RIOT has been organizing fun and in-depth film evenings in Rialto De Pijp ever since 2014. But now Rialto VU also recently has its own collective of film lovers who will organize their own film evenings at Rialto VU. On Tuesday 13 September, LA RIOT VU kicks off with a first edition, and will screen Triangle of Sadness. The film will be introduced by LA RIOT editor-in-chief Luca Deutinger.

Popular model couple Carl and Yaya are invited on a luxury cruise for the super-rich, including a Russian oligarch and British arms dealers . The yacht, headed by a constantly Marx-quoting, alcoholic captain, runs into heavy weather and sinks. The pair are stranded on a desert island, along with the stone-rich fellow passengers, as well as the cleaning lady. In the struggle for survival, the dynamics in the group change and the existing hierarchy is turned completely upside down: the cleaning lady rises to the top of the food chain because she is the only one who can cook.
Ruben Östlund, who himself wrote the screenplay for this satire, previously made the film hits Turist and the Golden Palm-winning The Square. Triangle of Sadness was also awarded the Golden Palm at Cannes. Includes Harris Dickinson and Charlbi Dean as the model couple, and Woody Harrelson as the Marxist captain.
