The films of Krzysztof Kieślowski at Rialto De Pijp

Five digitally restored masterpieces

In the coming weeks, Rialto De Pijp will screen five digitally restored films by the influential Polish director Krzysztof Kieślowski.

Polish director Krzysztof Kieślowski (1941-1996) is one of the most influential directors of the 1980s and 1990s, whose versatile oeuvre continues to inspire filmmakers today. In his films, Kieślowski repeatedly tells the story of a human being who does not know what is right or wrong and who desperately searches for answers.

Eye Filmmuseum has recently digitally restored the majority of Kieślowski's films, five of which will be screened in Rialto De Pijp: the triptych Trois couleurs: BleuTrois couleurs: Blanc en Trois couleurs: Rouge, his award-winning masterpiece La double vie de Véronique and Blind Chance, the film with which he made his international breakthrough.
