In 2015, Rialto initiated a close collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to launch the GO CUBA! support fund. to set up. Many young filmmakers submitted their plans for a documentary, short or long film, after which a committee determined which films were eligible for financial support. More than seventy films have already been supported, many of which have also been shown in Rialto. It is now the turn of Alán González's work.
On Saturday, February 3, at 6:45 PM, Alán González's two most recent works will be screened at Rialto De Pijp: the moving short film Azul Pandora and his intense and award-winning feature debut La mujer salvaje (Wild Woman). Both films portray diverse women who, in their own way, face obstacles in modern Havana. Alán González is present during this screening, after which he will answer questions from the audience.
