This summer vacation, everything at Rialto de Pijp revolves around the enchanting world of stop-motion. Three delightful films are on the program: Shaun het Schaap – Elke dag feest, Vos en Haas Redden het Bos and Knor. All three can be seen now, ideal for a summer cinema outing with the whole family.
For the youngest viewers there is Shaun het Schaap – Elke dag feest, a cheerful compilation of short episodes in which the mischievous sheep Shaun once again experiences all kinds of adventures on the farm. Every day is a party - whether that means Shaun builds a swimming pool, surprises his friends or accidentally upsets everything. On Wednesday, July 16, it will be extra festive: after the 2 p.m. screening, children can meet Shaun in real life and do crafts in the foyer from 3 to 4 p.m. Registration is not necessary.
In Vos en Haas Redden het Bos the famous book friends face great danger: their beloved forest is threatened! Together with their animal friends, they devise a clever plan to restore peace. This heartwarming film is full of colorful characters, recognizable themes and a touch of suspense; perfect for all ages.
Dutch audience favorite Knor (2022) is also showing this summer. In this film, nine-year-old Babs receives a piglet as a gift from her grandfather. What seems like a nice pet soon turns out to be a little more complicated, especially when it turns out that Grandpa has dark plans. Knor is funny, touching and beautifully made with hundreds of handmade dolls.
