Kicking off with the announcement of the nominations for the European Film Awards in mid-November, the European Award Season celebrates the fantastic diversity of European film. Thanks to our partner Europa Cinemas, flagship cinemas across Europe and beyond, from Reykjavik to Athens, from Lisbon to Amsterdam, but also in Hong Kong, Hanoi and Santiago de Chile, highlight European films, presenting special programmes, events and dedicated retrospectives.
The European Award Season is supported by the Creative Europe MEDIA Programme of the European Union and EURIMAGES and co-operates with CICAE, Europa Cinemas and European Film Promotion. Media partners are Cineuropa and EBU.
