In 2019, Sacha Polak won the Golden Calf for Best Direction for her film Dirty God, which particularly impressed thanks to Vicky Knight's acting. Consequently, British online film magazine Screen Daily named her Star of Tomorrow. Tomorrow has now become Today, as she is once again starring in a film by Polak. Polak wrote the screenplay herself, which she based partly on the life of Knight, who survived a fire as an eight-year-old.

It has been 15 years since young London nurse Franky (Knight) was seriously injured in a pub fire. No matter how many years have passed, she is still searching for answers that can give her life a new direction. When she falls in love with Florence, one of her patients, everything comes into motion. Together with her, she leaves for the coast where she finds a safe place with Florence's family to face her past.
