Maestro
Leonard Bernstein is considered one of the most influential conductors of the 20th century. But besides his conducting work, he was also a celebrated composer who did not care much about the boundaries between genres. Thus, the highly successful musical West Side Story came from his pen, with which he also managed to touch younger generations. Maestro tells the complex love story of the charismatic conductor and the successful actress Felicia Montealegre, who became known for her acting work both inside and outside Broadway. A love story that spans more than 30 years - from the moment they met at a party in 1946 and on through two engagements, a 25-year marriage and three children.
With this loving biopic, director and also lead actor Bradley Cooper (A Star is Born) tells a great and emotional story about family and love. Carey Mulligan (Promising Young Woman) beautifully portrays Felicia.
