Bones and All
Italian director Luca Guadagnino achieved his greatest success with two critically acclaimed romantic dramas: Io sono l'amore (2009) and Call Me By Your Name (2017). His new film, Bones and All, is another romantic drama, but one with a decidedly horror twist. The film had its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival and was enthusiastically received there: by audiences, press, and the festival jury: Guadagnino received the Silver Lion for Best Direction.
Maren (Taylor Russel) and her father are not well off, if only because they never stay in the same place for long. Maren is a smart, shy girl plagued by an insatiable hunger - hunger for human flesh. When, after yet another incident, her father also abandons her, she decides to search for her mother on her own. Along the way, she meets people who share her 'hunger', including the handsome, fragile Lee ((Timothée Chalamet). With him, she falls in love.
