Le paradis

The days are long and monotonous for 17-year-old Joe, who is serving a sentence in a juvenile prison. Everything there is about reintegration; very valuable, of course, but Joe longs for freedom and independence above all. The judge has approved his release, so he won't have to wait long. Everything changes when a new inmate arrives in the cell next to him: William. The two immediately get along very well; indeed, the two fall in love with each other. Joe's desire for freedom has suddenly taken on a whole new form.

In this feature debut, Belgian director Zeno Graton tells a story of hope and love, because even when life seems to have reached a dead end, it can still take a new turn. It becomes clear that however strong the urge for freedom, passion and the desire for another prove stronger. Starring Khalil Gharbia and Julien de Saint Jean.
