Dune: Part Two
It was considered to be impossible to adapt to film, Frank Herbert's scifi novel series Dune. But in 2021 Canadian director Denis Villeneuve proved it could be done in his critically acclaimed and award-winning Dune: Part One. In this second part, the story around Paul Altreides continues. As for the first part, Villeneuve himself wrote the screenplay together with Jon Spaihts. The lead role is again played by Timothée Chalamet, assisted by an all-star cast including Christopher Walken, Léa Sedoux, Javier Bardem, Charlotte Rampling and Josh Brolin. Hans Zimmer also wrote the music for this second part.
Baron Harkonnen eventually managed to bring down the house of Altreides. Paul Altreides (Chalamet) seeks revenge and is helped by his concubine Chani and the Fremen, the natives of the desert planet Arrakis, the place where the so precious 'spice' is found. Paul faces a terrible dilemma that forces him to choose between love and the fate of the universe, which only he knows.
