In today's Madrid, single mother Badia has to deal with child protection. She has two jobs and therefore often leaves her little daughter at home alone. Child protection sees this as neglect and takes her away. The also single mother Azucena has an entirely different problem: she and her son are in danger of being evicted, she has 24 hours to prevent this. And then there is the elderly Teodora. She lent her son a hefty sum of money, with which he wanted to start a business. But he has lost everything, threatening to get her into trouble. She calls him, but he does not answer. Activist lawyer Rafa is committed to all three.
