Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga
Gang violence, roaring motorcycles and a desolate desert: in 1979, the world was first introduced to director George Miller's post-apocalyptic Wasteland in which young cop Mad Max seeks revenge. It became a huge success and soon followed Mad Max II (1981) and Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome (1985). Then things remained quiet around the franchise for 30 years, until Miller returned to the dystopian world in 2015 with Mad Max: Fury Road (2015), in which Max teams up with the combative Furiosa to try to stay out of the hands of Immortan Joe. With Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, Miller creates a stand-alone adventure about the popular character's past.
As the world falls apart, young Furiosa (Anya Taylor-Joy) is kidnapped by a large motorcycle gang led by the insane Warlord Dementus (Chris Hemsworth). On their journey across the desert, they reach the Citadel, where Immortan Joe is in charge. As the two tyrants battle for power in The Wasteland, Furiosa must find a way to return home.
