Good Times, Bad Times

Old and weary Hrvoje Kasum visits a restaurant; the waiter offers him something to drink. As he sits waiting, Kasum observes the other guests: a young couple on their first date, another couple of parents-to-be, young families, broken families, a politician giving a pep talk to his followers, a couple of fathers with sons, etc. He does not interact with all these people, but he does interact with the waiter, who also interacts with the other guests. Everyone seems to be part of the same story that is miraculously connected to the restaurant and its staff. Meanwhile, a TV screen in the establishment is showing a football match.

In his fifth feature film, Croatian director Nevio Marasović tells a story looking back on a completed life full of regrets, bitterness and, above all, wrong decisions. For the role of Kasum, he cast top Slovenian actor Radko Polič, to whom the film is also dedicated.
