The Biggest Little Farm
In 2011, filmmaker John Chester and his wife Molly leave work and city life behind to live their dream. Just outside of Los Angeles the couple tries to convert a piece of barren land into a unique farm with a thriving, self-regulating ecosystem. They cultivate the arid land according to an ingenious system, and with the arrival of ducks, chickens and the endearing pig Emma, their dream slowly becomes reality, albeit not without difficulty: Every day a new challenge presents itself and they face all sorts of unrelenting natural phenomena. Gradually, John and Molly discover that the solution to many setbacks can be found in nature itself.
This inspiring and now award-winning film offers an honest, hopeful, and very touching view of a search for harmony, with breathtakingly beautiful shots and filled with colourful characters, be it furry, woolly, cackling, grunting, flying or crawling.
