Invisible Demons
The dangerous consequences of climate change are not only a concern for the future, but also define our present. In expanding megacities, millions of residents suffer from heavy air pollution, continuous smog and polluted drinking water. In Invisible Demons, filmmaker Rahul Jain (Machines, 2016) realistically and crisply portrays today's climate issues. He makes us long for a world where equal access to clean air and clean drinking water is the norm, but also asks us the question: is such a future prospect at all imaginable?
In his documentary debut Machines (2016), about cheap labor, Rahul Jain also addressed social issues in his home country. In Invisible Demons, the mega-city of New Dehli is his subject, and he takes a sober look at the effects of industrialization.
