Flow
Regarded by some as the successor to Hayao Miyazaki, the Japanese master of anime and founder of Studio Ghibli: Gints Zilbalodis. And not unjustly so, because what this Latvian animation filmmaker shows in Flow, his second film, in terms of animation, indeed brings to mind the work of Myazaki, and he does so without words. Consequently, the film has already won numerous film awards and is considered a serious contender for the Oscar for Best Animated Feature.
Something strange has happened, as all the humans have disappeared. A young cat does not care too much, as his house is still there and there is plenty of food. But then the water starts rising very fast and the cat is barely able to save himself by jumping onto a drifting sailboat, where a capybara has also already taken refuge. Soon they are joined by a dog, a lemur and a bird. This wonderful company has to survive in a whole new world.
