Le deuxième acte
Florence is head over heels in love with David, the man of her dreams with whom she has a lunch date at a remote roadside restaurant. David is not actually interested in her that way at all, but he finds it too boorish to bluntly reject her. He has brought along his good friend Willy, hoping to set him up with Florence. Florence has also brought someone with her: her father Guillaume, whom she is very keen to introduce to David. As the story progresses, it becomes clear that everyone is a character in a film, with nobody caring about the script anymore - resulting in tensions and arguments. One extra even threatens to succumb to the pressure.
In this absurdist and self-written comedy, director Quentin Dupieux conjures up a confusing world of a film-within-a-film for the viewer. The leading roles in this original story are played by Léa Seydoux, Louis Garrel, Vincent Lindon and Raphaël Quenard.
