Heldin
Floria Lind, an experienced and dedicated nurse in the surgical department of a Swiss hospital, starts her late shift. She is a highly valued member of staff who is always there for everyone and makes time for them, even when she doesn't have any. Her department is overflowing with patients, while at the same time there is a staff shortage. This shift will be tough, because one of her colleagues is absent. Floria feels responsible for everyone, but even she cannot be everywhere at once. As the evening progresses, the workload increases and the tension rises. The question is whether she will be able to keep it up.
No one can fail to notice that the shortage of medical staff, such as nurses, is a major problem. Swiss-Italian director Petra Volpe shows the consequences of this in this utterly exciting story about a very hectic evening in a hospital. Leonie Benesch, best known here for Das Lehrerzimmer, gives a very convincing performance as nurse Floria.
