The North

The plan is to first walk from Glasgow to Fort William, the so-called West Highland Way, and then continue on to Cape Wrath in the far north-west. Chris (Bart Harder) and Lluis (Carles Pulido), both in their thirties, want to complete this 600 km hike in 30 days, not so much to prove they can do it, but more to rekindle their once strong friendship. But of course, it's not that easy. In the ten years they've known each other, the two men have grown apart; Chris is very busy with his work, while Lluis is mainly searching for self-confidence.

In 2022, Dutch director Bart Schrijver made his debut with Human Nature, in which the main character Sophie embarks on a walking tour through the Arctic part of Norway. The North is another walking film, this time in which the characters try to find insight into themselves, each other and their friendship in the beautifully captured Scottish landscape.
