Roofman
Jeffrey Manchester was once in the American army, where he learned the skills that come in handy in his new “career”. He breaks into McDonald's branches across the country. At night or in the early morning, he gains access via the roof, hides in the toilets and, once the restaurant opens, storms in armed to loot the contents of the cash registers. He is popularly known as the Roofman. One day, however, he is caught and disappears into prison. But he manages to escape, after which he hides in a toy shop for months. Everything becomes complicated when he develops feelings for the divorced mother Leigh Wainscott. He wants to leave his hiding place, but the police are hot on his heels.
Channing Tatum and Kirsten Dunst play the leading roles in this film, in which director Derek Cianfrance (Blue Valentine) uses humour and drama to tell the unusual, true story of a very unusual criminal.
