The Devil Wears Prada 2
In 2003, The devil wears Prada was published, the first novel by American author Lauren Weisberger about the (fictional) New York fashion magazine Runway. She knew what she was talking about, having worked at Vogue for years herself. Three years later, the novel was adapted into a film by David Frankel. The film of the same name was a huge success, largely thanks to its all-star cast, including Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci. Now there’s a sequel, directed once again by Frankel and featuring largely the same cast.
Andy Sachs (Hathaway) returns to Runway Magazine after twenty years, where she once served as the assistant to the bossy and capricious editor-in-chief Miranda Priestly (Streep). Priestly is still working there, but is nearing retirement. The media landscape has changed dramatically, and more than ever, everything revolves around advertising revenue. In this context, Priestly faces competition from the company run by Emily Chalton (Blunt), who was once one of her assistants as well.
