Young Caroline lives in a sleepy Texan town, and that’s pretty much all she’s seen of the world. By day she works at a petrol station, and one day she gets a remarkable customer at the pump: Oliver. He turns out to be a con artist, but a very charming one at that. Even though he swindles some money out of her, she still falls head over heels for him and the two begin a passionate affair. Gradually, she becomes increasingly involved in his sleight of hand and con games. And it doesn’t stop there: their crimes become increasingly larger and more daring. To stay out of the hands of the police, the pair go on the run – a chaotic, reckless but also romantic escape. They set out in search of Caroline’s mother.

A well-known American critic described this modern and sexy version of Bonnie & Clyde as “a rip-roaring, tragic, joyride”. This is largely thanks to the chemistry between lead actors Samara Weaving and Kyle Gallner.
