Queer Pioneers is a special programme by Rialto, focusing on filmmakers who have pushed boundaries around sexuality, sexual orientation and gender. Through their work, they have left a lasting mark on both cinema and political discourse. On Sunday, 3 May, Rialto will screen L.A. Zombie by Bruce LaBruce. Prior to the screening, Queer Pioneers curator Renske Diks will speak with the director.

Rialto for Short is back. At Rialto De Pijp, we once again offer beginning filmmakers and undiscovered talent a platform to showcase their work to audiences and film professionals. Whether you’ve made a short film, music video, commercial or another form of visual work, this is your chance to experience your film as it was meant to be seen: on the big screen.

During the final edition of UNMASKED on Friday 24 April, we turn our focus to the work of Ghanaian-Dutch director Ebeneza Blanche.

On February 7, filmmaker Festus Toll and artist Sophie Straat will present three films and a video work.
