Narcosis
A young and mostly close-knit family is disrupted when the father fails to surface during a professional dive. No funeral, no goodbye, just a house full of memories. Bothered by the intangible loss, Merel evades her husband's death and everything to do with it. As a result, her young children get caught up in their search for answers, eventually bringing the family to a hard standstill. Merel has no choice but to face the loss in her own unique way, in order to start a new life together again.
Director Martijn de Jong, together with Laura van Dijk, wrote the screenplay for this gripping drama, his first feature film - a story about the different stages of a grieving process and how it differs for everyone. The leading roles are played by Thekla Reuten and Fedja van Huêt.
