Falcon Lake

13-year-old Bastien spends the summer with his mother and little brother in a cottage by a beautiful but mysterious lake. The family of a friend of his mother's is also there, including 16-year-old Chloé. Bastien is soon hugely charmed by her and despite her initially not wanting to know much about him, she casts herself as his big sister. She takes him in tow to parties, where a new world opens up for Bastien. He soon falls head over heels in love with her and is willing to overcome all his fears to win her heart. He even dares to dive into the lake where the ghost of a drowned child is said to haunt.

Director Charlotte Le Bon based this feature debut on the graphic novel Une soeur by Bastien Vives, a coming-of-age story full of insecurityy, tension beneath the surface and burgeoning sexual feelings. Joseph Engel and Sara Montpetit star as Bastien and Chloé.
