A House in Jerusalem
Young British-Jewish Rebecca is inconsolable after her mother is killed in a road accident. Her father Michael is not doing much better, but hoping that a change will help Rebecca cope with the loss, he decides to move to Jerusalem. They move into an old house in a neighbourhood located in the Valley of Ghosts. An apt name, because soon strange and mysterious things are happening, believed to be caused by Rebecca's unbridled curiosity. It seems that the house is also inhabited by the spirit of Rasha, a girl the same age as Rebecca. Only Rebecca can see her...
At first glance, this looks like a suspenseful ghost story, but director Muayad Alayan, best known for The Reports on Sarah and Saleem, uses all the supernatural to tell a moving story about trauma, growing up and the healing power of love.
