Tom has been working as a tennis coach for almost ten years at a luxury, all-inclusive resort on beautiful Fuerteventura, one of the Canary Islands. The guests want for nothing, but Tom is bored; he is fed up with his daily routine – teaching, going out, drinking too much, one-night stands. Then the Maguire family arrives at the resort: Anne, David and their son Anton. The couple insist that Tom give their son private lessons and they also take him out to dinner. Gradually, Tom becomes more and more involved in the family's ups and downs. After a night out, Tom hears the next day that Dave has disappeared.
