The Last Viking
Anker Andersen (Nikolaj Lie Kaas) spent fifteen years in prison for a bank robbery in which millions were stolen, which the police were never able to find. Now he is free again, and it is time to retrieve the loot, which was hidden by his younger brother Manfred (Mads Mikkelsen) at the time. Problem: over the years, Manfred has developed dissociative identity disorder and now thinks he is John Lennon. He only remembers that he buried the money somewhere on the family estate, but he can't remember where. The two travel to the estate to search for it, but they are not the only ones: the violent Flemming, a former mate of Anker's, is also after the money.
Director Anders Thoman Jensen likes to work with the same actors, including Nikolaj Lie Klaas and Mads Mikkelsen; this is their sixth collaboration. In this dark crime comedy, Jensen tells a story, which he wrote himself, about fragmented memories and brotherly problems.
