Les Olympiades - Expat Cinema

In the 13th arrondissement of Paris lies the district of Les Olympiades, where telemarketer Emilie is looking for a new, preferably female roommate. But a man shows up: Camille. She immediately feels a click with him, he gets the place and soon the two are more than friends. Law student Nora also appears on the scene. After a humiliating experience, she is forced to return to her previous job in real estate. Coincidentally, Camille has also just started working there. They too begin a relationship. However, Nora has difficulty with intimacy and she feels more at ease with Amber Sweet, with whom she chats online.

Director Jacques Audiard wrote the screenplay for this bittersweet, black-and-white morality tale of modern life in the big city together with Léa Mysius and Céline Sciamma (Portrait de la jeune fille en feu). They based the story on the graphic novels of Adrian Tomine.
